• Jeremy Brock, center for the Easton Bears, marked his high school career 1,000th point in a layup against the Limestone Eagles .
• The Central Aroostook Panthers took the 2008 Class D Eastern Maine title, finishing the season with a perfect record.

• Presque Isle senior Corey Park placed second in the 2008 TD Banknorth Eastern High School Championship at Trapp Lodge in Stowe, VT.

• Hockey athlete Hillary Albert was selected as an elite player to join the One Hockey America U14 girls’ team, and to play at the 2007 Philadelphia International Summer AAA Tournament.

• The Presque Isle track and field team placed second in the Aroostook County Championship

• The Ashland Hornets softball team finished their season 17-1, ending the season as the 2008 Class D Eastern Maine runner-ups.
