Kelsey St. Peter is December’s Student of the Month from the Sur’five’ors team. Her teachers say Kelsey has modeled a positive learning environment for her classmates since her first day as a fifth-grader. Although she is soft spoken, everything she says is well thought out, meaningful and knowledgeable. Kelsey’s work ethic is impeccable and her grades are reflective of her efforts. She is someone that her classmates trust and rely upon.
Kelsey is involved in music at the Caribou Middle School along with other activities outside of school. Mrs. Hebert, Mrs. Barnes and Mr. Barnes are proud to have Kelsey St. Peter as a member of the Sur’five’ors team and as their choice for December Student of the Month.
Ben Ezzy has been named December Student of the Month for the fifth grade team, “the Brainiacs.” Ben is involved in many activities at CMS. He is a homeroom representative, participates in band and in strings.
The fifth-grader was recently chosen to attend the Young Authors’ Institute which takes place in March at the University of Maine at Presque Isle. Ben is currently working with a group of fellow CMS students to start a school newspaper. He has adjusted well to CMS and is an excellent student.
Morgan Outing, a member of the “Six-ceeders” was named Student of the Month for December by her teachers who say she is a very conscientious student, who set high academic standards for herself and is always willing to help her classmates and her teachers when called upon. Morgan is very respectful toward her peers and teachers; all of her teachers agree she is a pleasure to have in class.
Morgan participates in many school activities, including strings, civil rights and student organization. She is also involved with soccer and basketball at the local recreation department and demonstrates the qualities of an outstanding role model and leader.
Danielle Chase was chosen by her teachers from the “World of Wonderful Students” (WOW team) to be their Student of the Month for December. Her teachers say Danielle is a sweet young lady who is a quiet and studious student, well liked by her peers. She exhibits special traits that make her successful in her academics and has taken the responsibility of her achievement by having work done well and on time. Danielle shows by example kindness, consideration and generosity to her classmates. Knowing that school work comes first gives her precious time to spend with her beloved dogs, Zoe and Freefall.
Danielle excels in musical talent by the playing the violin very well. She is also learning to play the guitar, having private lessons with her mom. She will be a wonderful citizen and leader in our world in the future. Danielle has guidance from her loved ones that make her a special person. Her teachers enjoy having her as an asset in their classes.
Samantha Camy was proudly chosen by her teachers to be the Student of the Month for December from the SWAT team. Her teachers say Sammy is a bright young lady who contributes to her school and her classmates consistently. In contributing to her school, she was a manager for the cross country teams both this year and last, a member of the seventh grade basketball team and she is a member of chorus and the student government organization.
Samantha excels as a student and is extremely bright. She serves as a role model for her fellow peer and is always willing to help.
Delaney Williams, a student in the 7 STARS team was named by her teachers at their choice for Student of the Month of December. Delaney is a very active student at the Caribou Middle School where she is a member of the cross country, basketball and track teams. She also participates in chorus and show choir.
Delaney is very involved in the Maine Dance Academy and was the winner of two dance awards this past summer. Her favorite subjects are physical education and math. She is very pleasant to have in the classroom and is always willing to lend a helping hand to someone in need.
Zac Gorence, an eighth-grader at the Caribou Middle School was named by his teachers as one of their choices for Student of the Month, in December His teachers stated Zac is a student athlete who is an excellent representative from CMS. He plays soccer, basketball and tennis and is also a homeroom representative for student government.
Zac’s involvement does not end there however, as he is also a member of the Eighth Grade Leadership Team and is a valuable role model to have in the classroom as well as on any sports team.
Emma Duplissie-Cyr was also selected as a Student of the Month for December, representing the CMS grade eight students. Her teachers say she was chosen because of her willingness to help others, and her ability to set an example for all who attend Caribou Middle School.
Emma is a member of several sports teams at CMS including soccer, basketball, skiing and tennis. She also participates in show choir, chorus and the strings program. A member of the eighth-grade Leadership Team, she is always willing to help a fellow classmate, or teacher often without being asked. Emma is a wonderful role model to all students and sets a great example regarding schoolwork and the treatment of fellow classmates, schoolmates, teachers and other adults.
