On Sunday, Dec. 21, the Houlton Lodge of Elks opened their doors, as they have for more than 25 years, to all area seniors for a complimentary roast turkey holiday dinner. Sean Conlogue, Blaine Lincoln and crew put together a wonderful holiday dinner for 687. Guests complimented Paul LaPointe’s festive holiday music and the fun-filled atmosphere of the day. For those Seniors who could not make the trip to the Lodge, a dedicated group of Elk members and their spouses delivered meals to home-bound seniors. The dining room crew was equally impressive in their efforts as they served the meal, cleaned tables, interacted with the diners to make sure everyone got exactly what they wanted. Elk members also helped diners safely up and down the front stairs of the Lodge. Approximately 50 members and friends helped make the event successful.
