Former Maine Army National Guard Recruiter, Master Sergeant Jeffrey B. Cummings of Hermon was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal. Cummings has served with excellence as a Noncommissioned Officer in Charge for Recruiting and Retention Command since 1998. He has achieved a level of unparalleled accomplishment in his field by being selected as the top Maine recruiter for four years and receiving numerous other awards.
Cummings graduated from Katahdin High School in 1984 and earned an Associates Degree from the University of Maine in Orono. He recently retired from the military after serving 24 years in the Maine National Guard. Cummings lives in Hermon with his wife Katherine and their children Ethan, Abigail, Jared and Jordan.
