Rhonda Shaw and Southside school staff receives special award

    Members of the Manes and Tails organization presented a plaque of thanks and appreciation to Rhonda Shaw and the Houlton Southside School staff for their support during the Manes and Tails Moosewalk Ride-a-Thon fundraiser, held in the fall.

HONORED — Manes and Tails’ member, Sara Wotton, left, presented a plaque of appreciation to Houlton Southside School’s Rhonda Shaw and Christine Lee for their support in a recent ride-a-thon forchildren with special needs.

    The event took place at Joel and Linda Long’s, Moosewalk Farm in Cary Plantation. Shaw was the most sponsored rider at the event due to the generosity of the Southside staff.
    Manes and Tails is a non-profit organization that supports special needs horse programs throughout Aroostook County. The Southside School and staff are well known throughout the area for their outstanding consideration, support, and education of all children, some with special needs and especially those with autism spectrum disorders.
