PRESQUE ISLE — Maine Centers for Women, Work, and Community will offer a free five-week workshop to help Aroostook families gain the skills and confidence to stretch your money, pay your bills, reduce your debt, find money for savings and set personal financial goals. Starting March 4, the class will be held on Wednesdays from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Northern Maine Community College in Presque Isle.     Erica Quin-Easter, trainer for the class, noted, “In tough economic times, we can feel like our finances are out of our control. Regardless of how much money you have or what stage you are in your life, this class helps you find out where your money is going, identify your financial priorities and take charge of managing your own money.”
The Financing Your Future workshop is open to women, men and couples of all ages and incomes.
Pre-registration is required by March 3, and there is no fee for the training.
For more information or to register for the workshop, contact Erica Quin-Easter, microenterprise coordinator at Women, Work & Community at 764-0050 or erica.quineaster@maine.edu.
