Houlton – Alden J. McKay, 62, died Feb. 18, 2009, at a local hospital. He was born Sept. 27, 1946, at Long Island, NY, the son of John and Laura (Barchi) McKay.
Alden was life long truck driver and was employed by several area trucking companies, retiring for Double D Trucking. He loved sports and tried never to miss the Red Sox, Patriots or a Nascar race.
Alden is survived by his wife, Sheila (Buxton) McKay of Houlton; a son, Frank McKay; daughters, Laura and Kim McKay all of NY; daughter, Rhonda Moran and her husband Mark of Houlton; two grandchildren, Caitlyn and Christopher Moran; one brother, John McKay of Long Island, NY.
Friends called 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Dunn Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Saturday 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Wayne Robertson officiating.
