The Katahdin Valley League fifth and sixth grade boys’ basketball tournament was held Feb. 7 at the Island Falls gymnasium.

Coming in first place were the Island Falls Bulldogs, coached by Steve Walker, followed by Oakfield, coached by Joey White. Taking third was Sherman, coached by Shelly Drew and Tony Lane and fourth place went to Patten, coached by Greg Bivighouse.
All participants received a basketball medal, while runner-up and first-place team trophies, as well as individual trophies were awarded.
