Maynard joins Border Patrol

    Border Patrol Agent Jonathan Maynard graduated from the CBP Border Patrol Academy in Artesia, N.M., from class number 816 on Dec. 19.
    Maynard is the spouse of Lyndsey Jo Maynard and father of Jackson and Jorja Maynard. He is the son of Donald and Julee Jo Maynard, of Mapleton. He is a graduate of the University of Maine, Orono.

    Agent Maynard will be assigned to the Houlton sector.
    The U.S. Border Patrol Academy is recognized as having one of the most challenging curriculums in federal law enforcement. The Border Patrol Academy is tasked with training the largest influx of new agents in the history of any federal law enforcement training academy. Those who attend the rigorous 55 day program must pass all departments including immigration law, physical techniques, driver training and firearms. Non-Spanish speakers will be required to stay an additional 40 days and attend the task-based language training program before reporting to a Border Patrol sector.
