Ricker Rumblings
By Lois Downing
Here it is Sunday again! Raining but then it will take away some of that dirty snow and I mean dirty! All in all, it hasn’t been too bad this week against the Red River and the floods in the Dakotas. Thank you, Lord.
The Lenten ecumenical services are coming to a close. Good attendance at St. Mary’s this past Wednesday. Easter Sunrise Service on April 12 and before that at noon on April 10, at the Salvation Army on Court Street, play, “30 Pieces of Silver” and at St. Mary’s will have the stations of the cross. All are welcome.
Dorothy Campbell went to Woodstock, N.B. on Friday and had dinner with one of her relatives or friends. Dot has been attending birthday parties. Said she had three to go to. She is having a good time.
Speaking of birthdays, Helena Dickinson had a recent birthday. Her cake read “80” but Lena said she was not 80! “Happy Birthday” anyway, Lena.
Betty Britton is a patient at the local hospital at this writing.
Here’s a thought about hugs: a hug delights and warms and charms, that must be why God gave us arms! Hugs to you from me!
Thought for the day: “God who began the good work within you will keep right on helping you grow in his grace until his task within you is finally finished on that day when Jesus Christ returns.” (Philippians 1:6)
Have a wonderful blessed and safe week.
