The University of Maine Cooperative Extension has announced that a northern Maine sheep-shearing school is planned for Saturday, May 2, starting at 8:30 a.m. at Lana McCurry’s farm, 86 Williams Road, Presque Isle. Registration is $25 per person and includes personal instruction, a shearing informational packet and lunch. Shearing equipment will be provided.
The school is co-sponsored by the University of Maine Cooperative Extension and the Maine Sheep Breeders Association.
This introductory, hands-on school will be taught by UM Extension Educator Richard Brzozowski and sheep shearer Jeff Burchstead.
