Hard rain is the weather, as this is written on Sunday, May 17.
Elinor Schenk celebrated her 86th birthday on Saturday. Her actual birthday is May 18, so I am told. Her family gave her a party and she received a lot of gifts and wore a crown. Happy birthday to Elinor.
Also on Elinor, her son Allen and his wife Jeannie took her and Dorothy Womblodt out to dinner. Elinor sat next to her grandson Gabe. Also Jeri and Bob Smith, Elinor’s daughter and son-in-law, were present. Allen and Jeannie are from Island Falls, Dorothy lives in Patten. They had a great time. After dinner Bob and Jeri took her on a ride to see the dinkey.
Michael Callnan of Colorado visited his aunt, Marion Hogan, on Saturday.
Best wishes to Alice McQuarrie, who is undergoing heart surgery at Maine Medical Center in Portland. Alice is a frequent visitor at Ricker Plaza.
Welcome to Carolyn Carmichael, our newest tenant. May your stay at Ricker Plaza be a long and happy one.
Here’s some more tips to save electricity: turn your home off. According to United States Department of Energy, 75 percent of the electricity used in the average home is consumed while products are off. Unplug your appliances or use a power strip to cut off the electricity when you aren’t using it.
Angels are our direct link to heaven.
