Graves’ Shop ‘N Save awards $1,000 check to Fort Fairfield Elementary

    FORT FAIRFIELD — Graves Shop ‘N Save Store Manager Donald Samiya presented a check in the amount of $1,000 to students of the Fort Fairfield Elementary School on May 22.

    Fifth-graders at Fort Fairfield Elementary School Autumn Parady, Emma Huffman, Mykenzie Poitras and Sarah Watt to receive a check on behalf of the school presented by Graves’ Shop ‘N Save Store Manager Donald Samiya, Office Manager Sue Beaulieu, Customer Service Manager Penny LeBlanc and Assistant Manager Ryan Graves. The $1,000 educational grant was awarded to the Fort Fairfield Elementary School for raising the most dollars through the Hannaford Helps Schools program.

    The $1,000 education grant was awarded to Fort Fairfield Elementary School for raising the most dollars through the Hannaford Helps Schools program. In total, including the $1,000 education grant through Hannaford, the school raised $1,588.
    Under the terms of the program that ran from September 2 to December 1, shoppers could raise funds for local schools by purchasing certain products at Graves’. There was no limit on the amount that could be raised by each school. Each store has awarded an additional $1,000 education grant to the one school registered through the store that raised the most funds.
    “On Behalf of Graves’ Shop ‘N Save and Hannaford, it gives me great pleasure to present this check to Fort Fairfield Elementary School,” Samiya said. “Graves’ Shop ‘N Save is committed to improving the quality of life in the communities we serve and I can’t think of a better way to do so then by investing in our local schools.”
