PATTEN: The Lumbermen's Museum will be open for the season Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. starting May 22 through July 3. From July 3 to October 12, it will be open on Tuesdays through Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Closed Mondays except holidays. FMI call 528-2650.

HOULTON: The final concert for SAD 29 will be the small ensemble night. This concert is always fun as it will feature the high school chamber choir, and the junior and senior high percussion ensemble. All concerts begin at 7 p.m. Admission is by donation.

HOULTON: Walk for Wishes . Registration and check in begins at 5 p.m. at the Houlton Civic Center. The walk will kick off at 6 p.m. and pizza and other refreshments will be provided. All proceeds go to Make A Wish Foundation. Call Mary Beth Fitzpatrick for more information at 532-3142.

HODGDON: 4:30 to 6 p.m. Lend A Hand Supper at the Hodgdon Methodist Church.  Baked beans, franks, salads, dessert and beverage.  Special guests ,The Heavenly Harpers of Houlton will be playing.   Adults $5, children $2.  All proceeds go to help those in need.  Take out/delivery available.  Call 532-7476 or 532-2704.

SHERMAN: A rededication ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. in the Sherman Village Cemetery. The Sons and Daughters of the Union Veterans of the Civil War will be attired in authentic era uniforms and dress for that time period. FMI call Brenda Qualey at 365-4302 or Debbie O'Roak at 365-4260.

HOULTON: The community is invited to attend a reading by award-winning novelist Cathie Pelletier at The Vault restaurant. The event starts with a reception at 6 p.m. with hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar available. This is followed by the reading at 7 p.m. Books will be available for sale and autographing. HOULTON: Come join us for an evening of Parenting with Love & Logic presented by Tiffany Faulkner and Tami Cote, from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Houlton Regional Hospital. The cost is $10 (scholarships available). This program is presented in two parts with the second part held June 9. To register call 1-877-207-2301. Snacks will be provided.
HOULTON: The annual public budget meeting will be held at 5:45 p.m. at the Southside School (in lieu of the regular monthly meeting.

HOULTON: The Maine Educational Opportunity Center will be hosting free workshops entitled “Essentials of College Planning” at the Higher Education Center, 18 Military St. today, June 11, June 18 and June 25 at 9 a.m. MEOC is funded entirely by the U.S. Department of Education.
