Clear your calendars for the Fouth of July events in Limestone, which offers something for everyone.
June 27:
The Rotary Club of Limestone will be holding a golf tournament at the Limestone Country Club at 8 a.m. all 325-7277 for more information.
There will be an antique tractor pull at the Albert Michaud Park in Limestone. Tractors must be weighed at Trombley’s prior to the event.
Xi Alpha Theta will be sponsoring the Limestone Community Wide Yard Sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Call 325-4933 for more information.
June 28:
The annual Beach Blast Car Show, sponsored by Caldwell Auto and Blvd Graphix, will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Trafton Lake. There will be food booths, mini pedal tractor pulls, and music by “Good Vibrations.” Registration will take place from 9 a.m. until noon.

June 29:
Pines Health Services is sponsoring a puppet show at the Robert Frost Memorial Library at 2 p.m. There will be door prizes, book exploration and an ice cream social.
Pines Health Services and Cary Medical Center are sponsoring an Introduction to Pilates Workshop from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Limestone Community School.
A Firehouse Fun Day picnic will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Firehouse in Limestone.
June 30:
The annual Teddy Bear Picnic will be held at the Albert Michaud Park, which includes free games, Humvee rides, and hurricane Limestone. Picnic lunch (hot dog or hamburger, chips, soda and dessert) is $3.
Cary Medical Center and Pines Health Services are sponsoring a Movie Under the Stars in the Albert Michaud Park. The movie will start at dusk (around 8 p.m.). Participants are encouraged to bring a blanket or chair, and children under 12 are required to be supervised by an adult. Pets are discouraged at this event. The rain location is in the Limestone Community School.
There will be a Pet Show at 2:30 p.m. in the Albert Michaud Park.
July 1:
The Strawberry Shortcake Festival will be held from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the Masonic Building on Main Street. The event is sponsored by the ME Preceptor Tau Sorority.
July 2:
A Princess Tea will be held at the Rendezvous Restaurant from 1 to 3 p.m. The event is sponsored by The Artist’s Nook.
July 3:
There will be a Chicken Pie Supper held at the St. Louis Catholic Church from 5 to 7 p.m.
Local band Turning Point will be playing the Limestone Street Dance on Main Street from 9 p.m. to midnight. Games before the dance will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. The Street Dance is sponsored by Cary Medical Center, Pines Health Services and Williams Construction.
July 4:
The Red, White and Blue Golf Tournament will start at 8 a.m. at the Limestone Country Club.
The Methodist Church in Limestone will be holding a Men’s Pancake Breakfast from 7 to 9 a.m.
The Limestone Fire Department will hold their Annual Chicken Barbecue at the Fire House from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The annual Limestone Fourth of July Parade, themed Celebrate Freedom, will start at 1 p.m. Line up for the parade begins at 11 a.m. at the Limestone Community School. The parade starts at the Limestone Community School, goes down FFA Avenue, down Main Street through town, continues on Foster Avenue, and concludes on High Street at the school. Trophies will be awarded in each category to the parade entry that best represented the theme of the parade as well as its category. There will also be a cash prize of $250 for the best themed float.
There will be performances an hour before the parade at the Parade Reviewing Stand by DJ “Good Vibrations,” the “Step in Time” line dancers, and Annie Charles. Immediately after the parade or at 2 p.m. there will be a duck race, sponsored by the Limestone Fire Department, on Bridge Street. The winner of the duck race will receive $500. Tickets are $5 each. Also after the parade is an Ice Cream Social at the Limestone Historical Society until 4 p.m.
Trafton Lake Fourth of July events start at 3 p.m, though food booths open at 2 p.m. From 4 to 6 p.m. the band Country Gentlemen will perform. There will be children’s games held from 3 to 8 p.m. sponsored by the Limestone Recreation Department. Fireworks start at 9 p.m. The rain date for the events at Trafton are scheduled for July 5, starting at 4 p.m. through to the fireworks at 9.
July 5:
Comedian Bob Marley will be back in Aroostook County for another hilarious performance. Marley will be performing in the auditorium of the Limestone Community School at 1 p.m. helping to raise funds for the Limestone Destination Imagination teams. Tickets are $15.
The Round Robin Co-Ed Adult Softball Tournament will start at 9 a.m. at the Albert Michaud Park. The tournament is sponsored by the Limestone Recreation Department.
