THE 62nd ANNUAL Maine Potato Blossom Festival was held July 11-19 in Fort Fairfield. The 9-day festival featured farmer olympics, road races, arts and crafts, fireworks, river races, mashed potato wrestling, and more.
Originally scheduled for Saturday, the parade was cancelled due to heavy rain. However, the yearly tradition was held Sunday under sunny skies. Here, Papi, a Shrine clown and his protégé, stop to chat with children lining Main Street in Fort Fairfield. More parade photos will appear in an upcoming issue of The Star-Herald.
