The celebration is on for the Shop ’n Save Little League, which captured the Caribou Little League championship last Tuesday with a 10-5 victory over Sleepers in the second game of their best two-of-three series.

The victory followed a game one win the previous night.
In the clinching game, Shop ’n Save bolted to a 5-0 lead after two innings and Sleepers was unable to get any closer than three runs the rest of the way.
Shop ’n Save scored twice in the bottom of the first as Michael Marquis doubled and came across on Kameron Manter’s triple. Colton Conley then singled home Manter.
During the three-run third inning, Axios Gerakaris singled and advanced to second on a Colby Holdsworth walk. Adam Collins then belted an inside-the-park home run to clear the bases.
Sleepers finally got on the scoreboard in the third inning thanks to Mason Huck’s two-run triple which plated Brendan Cyr, who walked, and Michael Hunter, who singled.
Shop ’n Save got those runs back in the bottom of the fourth, highlighted by a Collins triple.
Justin Ouellette’s double in the top of the fifth scored Huck for Sleepers’ third run of the game.
In the bottom of the inning, Alex Losieniecki walked, Gerakaris singled and Ashton Beaver contributed an RBI single. Holdsworth followed with a single to score both Gerakaris and Beaver.
Sleepers tallied a pair of runs in the top of the sixth, but that was it as Shop ‘n Save held on for the victory.
Losieniecki was the winning pitcher, with Adam Collins providing relief help.
Connor Thibeault started for Sleepers, while Huck and Hunter also saw action on the mound.
