Presque Isle – Ralph L. Henderson, 72, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2009, at his home in Presque Isle. He was born May 5, 1937, to Sewell and Hazel (Adams) Henderson in Presque Isle.
Ralph was proud to have served his country as a Marine corporal in the United States Marine Corps, Semper Fi. He especially loved his community, where he retired as a sergeant after 20 years of faithful service with the Presque Isle Police Department. He was an active member of the American Legion, Masonic Order and Shriner Fraternity. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. 
Ralph is survived by his four children, Dorothy Henderson, Daniel Henderson, Deirdre Werner and Denise Hatcher and her husband Terry; six grandchildren, Travis Maples and his wife Elizabeth, Rachel Henderson, Ranier Henderson, Michael Werner, Daisey Hatcher and Jesse Hatcher; one great-grandchild, Gabriel Maples; three brothers, Fredrick Henderson, Frank Henderson and Philip Henderson; and many nieces and nephews. Ralph is also survived by his loving companion, Doreen Libassi. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy (Segraves) Henderson; his parents; and two brothers, Sewell Henderson and Arthur Henderson.
Relatives and friends may call on Saturday, August 8 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church Street in Presque Isle. Funeral Service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, August 9 at the funeral home. Interment will take place directly following the service at Fairmont Cemetery, Presque Isle. Immediately following the interment, family and friends are invited to a celebration of Ralph’s life at the Trinity Lodge, 260 State Street, Presque Isle.
