Perfection continues to suit the Central Aroostook golf team as the Panthers notched two more victories this past week to improve to 9-0 on the season. Presque Isle notched a win over Houlton and it was also a successful week for Fort Fairfield as the Tigers won two matches to up their record to 4-4. The following matches were
Central Aroostook 11, Katahdin 0; Central Aroostook 9, Ashland 2; Ashland 10.5, Katahdin 0.5 — At the Mars Hill Country Club Friday, the Panthers (9-0) notched two more victories on the season, while Ashland (8-3) earned a split in the tri-match. CAHS’ Kaine Kingsbury was medalist on the day with a 42.
The team stroke totals were: Central Aroostook, 259; Ashland, 274; and Katahdin, 348.
The individual CAHS results were: Kingsbury, 42; Will Delong, 45; Logan McLaughlin, 50; Abe Brewer, 48; Tim Lawrence, 74.
The individual Kathadin results were: Brandon Robinson, 47; Cody Cunningham, 69; Brady McNally, 77; Matt Birmingham, 72; and Cordell Guptill, 83.
The individual Ashland results were Mark Corella, 47; Jordan Beaulier, 60; Dylan Cormier-Cyr, 55; Taylor Condon, 56; and Amos Ward, 56.
Fort Fairfield 207, Hodgdon 212 — At the par-36 Houlton Community Golf Club Friday, the visiting Tigers (4-4) emerged victorious. Fort Fairfield’s Landon Towle was medalist on the day with his round of 47.
The individual Tiger results were: Billy Weisman, 52; Towle, 47; Ian Girvan, 56; Tyler Churchill, 52; and Brandon Clark, 56.
The individual Hawk results were: Chris Williams, 51; A.J. Acott, 56; Paul Griffen, 55; Chris Wallace, 50; and Nick Lunn, 59.
Ashland 190, Limestone-MSSM 251 — At the par-36 Portage Hills Country Club Thursday, Ashland’s Mark Corella was medalist on the day with his round of 42.
The individual Ashland results were: Corella, 42; Jordan Beaulier, 49; Taylor Condon, 46; Dylan Cyr-Cormier, 53; Amos Ward, 54; and Kyle Spooner, 68.
The individual Eagle (1-5) results were: Josh Forsman, 49; Dylan Morgan, 73; Ty Tracy, 57; Nate Berube, 72; Aaron St. Pierre, 74; Mike Allen, 60; Bill Ashley, 62; and Julia Weatherhead, 66.
Presque Isle 168, Houlton 178 — At the par-36 Presque Isle Country Club Thursday, Presque Isle’s Evan Waddell and Houlton’s Ian Gervais shared medalist honors for the day as both shot a 40.
The individual Presque Isle (3-0) results were: Travis Dyer, 42; Jordan Hallett, 45; Waddell, 40; Adam Flynn, 44; Keenan Eaton, 51; Zac Campbell, 46; Alex Tuttle, 42; Matt Freeman, 46; Cody Merrill, 43; and Alex Doody, 47.
The individual Houlton results were: Gervais, 40; Nick Chase, 55; Logan Schaffer, 44; Gage Flewelling, 47; Parker Sanderson, 52; Ethan Quint, 50; Mike Ring, 47; and Isaac Brown, 63.
Fort Fairfield 9, Katahdin 2 — At the par-36 Katahdin Country Club in Milo Wednesday, Fort Fairfield rolled to the easy victory. Katahdin’s Brendon Robinson was medalist on the day with his round of 42.
The individual Tiger results were: Billy Weissman, 46; Josh Churchill, 50; Landon Towle, 54; Steve Adams, 59; and Ian Girvan, 62.
The individual Katahdin results were: Brendon Robinson, 42; Cody Cunningham, did not finish; Matt Birmingham, 76; Brady McNally, 62; and Cordell Guptill, 76.
Mattanawcook Academy 171, Presque Isle 176 — At Presque Isle Country Club Tuesday, the Lynx were victorious over Presque Isle by five strokes. Mattanawcook’s Kasey Knight was medalist for the day with a round of 38.
The individual scoring for Mattanawcook was: Lance Bernier, 42; K. Knights, 38; Nick Libbey, 47; Mike Thibodeau, 44; Ivan Bosine, 57; Nick L’Italia, 52; Drew Knights, 54; and Connor Smart, 60.
The individual scoring for Presque Isle was: Travis Dyer, 41; Evan Waddell, 47; Keenan Eaton, 51; Alex Tuttle, 50; Jordan Hallett, 45; Zac Campbell, 45; Adam Flynn, 45; and Alex Doody, 45.
