Final signup for 5-6 grade boys/girls AYBL
Aroostook Youth Basketball League (AYBL) is an organization committed to providing competitive basketball opportunities for youth in grades 3-8, serving as a feeder program for high school basketball teams. Youth will have an opportunity to be on a team that plays a 10-14 game schedule, with games at home and away in towns like Presque Isle, Caribou, Madawaska and Fort Kent. If you are a girl or boy in grades 5-6 and you are interested in playing, please e-mail Marty Bouchard at mabouchard@msln.net by Oct. 3 or call 538-6465. The season runs from about Oct. 3 until Jan. 2.
Rifle, pistol club to meet
The monthly meetings of the Houlton Rifle and Pistol Club will be held Oct. 4 and Nov. 1 at the range located adjacent to the Houlton International Airport. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m., with recreational shooting to follow. All members are encouraged to attend.
