PRESQUE ISLE — To show community spirit and promote wellness, Northern Physical Therapy, MOJO and Northern Massage and Wellness Center are teaming up to host Wellness Day on Friday, Oct. 2, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 180 Academy St.     Free services will be offered to the public during the event.
“We’ll offer half-hour massages, 15-minute reiki appointments, half-hour pilate and half-hour Zumba classes,” said Stephanie Caverhill, co-organizer and owner of NMWC.
A group walk/run will take place at 3 p.m. and a group bike ride is planned for 4:30 p.m.
“Mechanics from MOJO and therapists from NPT will be on hand to make sure you and your bike are running at peak performance,” she said.
Registered participants will be entered for a drawing of a limited edition LiveSTRONG cycling jersey and a Nike LiveSTRONG messenger bag. A raffle is also planned.
FMI, call 764-0400 or visit www.northernphysicaltherapy.com. All donations go to benefit the Lance Armstrong Foundation, said Caverhill.
