Elks Soccer Shoot winners

WINNERS –Houlton youth competing in the North District Soccer Shoot held in Millinocket on Oct. 4 were, from left, Hunter McLaughlin, boys ages 10-11 winner; Abigail Worthley, ages 7 and under winner; and Cole Winslow, state winner, boys 8-9 district winner; back, Jacob Condon, third in the North District boys 12-13, Kaitlyn Condon, girls 10-11 district runner-up ; Emily Mooers, girls 12-13 winner and Kolleen Bouchard, girls 8-9 winner. On Sunday, the five district winners went on to compete at the Elks State Soccer Shootout in Rockland. Cole Winslow, son of Julie and Kevin Winslow, captured the state shoot-out title and will advance to the New England Championships on Nov. 6-7 in Vermont. All the other youth placed second, with one tying for second.
