Hoop coaches clinic Thursday at PI

    For the second consecutive year, the Maine Association of Basketball Coaches is sponsoring mini clinics at area high schools, which are directed toward middle school, elementary and recreation department coaches.     Local high school coaches will cover basic fundamentals of offensive and defensive concepts, as well as holding roundtable discussions on issues ranging from practice planning to special drills used to reinforce specific skills.
    This year’s clinic will be held at Presque Isle High School Thursday from 6-8 p.m. There are no fees and anyone interested may attend.
    The MABC is holding this state-wide program in honor of long-time coaching friend Ron Brown, who passed away this summer.
