Historical Society to hold Christmas Tea Dec. 5

LIMESTONE, Maine — For about ten years now, the Limestone/Caswell Historical Society will be holding their Annual Christmas Tea. Decking the halls and searching the malls can be quite stressful, and the Christmas Tea is a wonderfully relaxing way to enjoy the season amidst good company.     Tea, coffee, punch, and light snacks are served during the Dec. 5 event from 1 to 3 p.m., which is usually accompanied by a short sing along and other entertainment.
According to the President of the Historical Society Robert King, most people stay to socialize for a short time after the tea is served and events enjoyed; King also mentioned that there is plenty of time for those in attendance to look over the items on display at the museum.
The Christmas Tea usually draws a good turnout, and the event is a donations-only fund-raiser. Funds generated by the Tea will be placed toward the utility bills of the museum. The next big project members of the Historical Society plan on undertaking is the construction of a pole barn.
Whether one feels like dressing up or down for Christmas Tea, all are welcome at the Historical Society to enjoy the spirit of the season and celebrate with members of the community.
The Limestone/Caswell Historical Society is located at 77 Access Highway in Limestone and can be reached at 325-4971.
