Katahdin High School helped raise food for the Island Falls Food Pantry on Nov. 25 when they asked people attending a scrimmage between Katahdin and Greater Houlton Chrisitan Academy to bring canned goods in place of money for admission. On Thanksgiving Day, Island Falls Food pantry handed out 80 baskets from Benedicta to Smyrna, leaving their shelves a bit empty. With the Katahdin High School donation, the pantry was able to restock its shelves. Displaying the food brought in are, from left, Phil Faulkner, athletic director; Dani-Beth Cyr, Melissa Duffy, Bailey McNally, Myah Smallwood and Makayla Patterson.
