Lee, Verne, 63, December 20, 2009.  Arrangements by Bowers Funeral Home, Houlton.  Interment to be held in the spring in the Merrill Cemetery.
MERRILL – Verne Lee, 63, died Dec. 20, 2009, at his home with his family by his side. He was born May 24, 1946, in Merrill, the son of Thomas and Althea (Crandall) Lee. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
    In addition to his mother of Merrill, he is survived by his wife of nine years, Iris (Rodgerson) Lee of Merrill; 10 children, Bobbi Keim and her husband, Rick, of Patten, Thomas Lee II and his wife, Shelly, of Medway, Kathleen McLaughlin and her husband, Ryan, of East Millinocket, Ceirra Lee of Houlton, Melissa Lee of Lincoln, Heather Lee of Newport, Shawn Donnell of Raymond, N.H., Tonya Honaker and her husband, Edward, of Somersworth, N.H., Jerome and William Rodgerson, both of Bangor; 19 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Elaine and Alva George of Oakfield, Patricia Scholtt of Pennsylvania, and Linda Hightower and John of Stuttgart, Ark.; one brother, Jasper Lee and Pat of Old Town; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father; and his best friend, Jake, the dog.
    Friends called 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 26, at Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls, where funeral services were held 1 p.m. with the Rev. Sterling Lawrence officiating.
