HOULTON — The Houlton Police Department investigated the following incidents from Jan. 24-30. There were 24 four motor vehicle stops, during this time period and four accidents reported.
Sunday, Jan. 24
At approximately 1:35 a.m, a 43-year-old Houlton woman reported that her 55-year-old neighbor had assaulted her at 20 High St. Charges are pending. The alleged incident is under investigation by Sgt. Eric Crouse.
At approximately 3:21 p.m., a 35-year-old Houlton man from 46 River St. reported an assault on his neighbor, by a 31-year-old Houlton man that resides at 61 North St. The case is under investigation by Ptl. Erica Pelletier.
At approximately 5:23 p.m., a 38-year-old Houlton woman reported that her wallet had been stolen from her apartment dwelling at 38 Kendall St. The woman reported that she had unloaded laundry from her vehicle and had placed her purse on top on the laundry. She then went to park her vehicle. Upon returning she observed a young man with a black-hooded sweatshirt, running away from where her purse was setting. In checking her purse her wallet was missing. The wallet contained personal, and credit cards, as well as money. The wallet was located at 3:13 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25 on Main Street by a young man. The only thing that appeared to be missing was the money. The case remains under investigation by Ptl. E. Pelletier.
At approximately 7:54 p.m., a 23-year-old Houlton man reported being assaulted by a 58-year-old Houlton man at 26 Randall St. The case is under investigation by Ptl. Randall Wilson.
Monday, Jan. 25
At approximately 6:05 p.m., a 51-year-old Houlton man reported criminal mischief done at his residence on 378 McSheffery Road. Damage had been done to the rear screen door, but no estimate was given. The case is under investigation by Sgt. Crouse.
Tuesday, Jan. 26
At approximately 1:41 p.m., a 49-year-old Houlton man reported disorderly conduct at 159 Military St. The complainant reported that his 59-year-old neighbor, who lives in the same apartment house was whistling outside his door. Upon opening the door, the complainant observed the neighbor in his nightgown, whistling at traffic. The case investigated by Ptl. Stephen Nason and a verbal disorderly conduct warning was issued.
At approximately 9:19 p.m., a 51-year-old Littleton woman reported being harassed by a 52-year-old Houlton man, who resides at 11 Pleasant St. The case is under investigation by Ptl. Stewart Kennedy.
Thursday, Jan. 28
At approximately 2:30 p.m., Ptl. Nason arrested Timothy Devoe, 47, of Houlton on an outstanding arrest warrant for “Violating Conditions of Release” at 45 River St.
At approximately 11:51 p.m., Penobscot (911) reported there was some kind of disorderly conduct occurring at 16 Kendall St. Apt. No. 2. Sgt. Parker and Ptl. E.J. Norton responded. The complainant, a Houlton man, reported hearing a loud crash at his apartment door, to which damage was done. No estimate was given. The case is being investigated by Sgt. Parker.
Saturday, Jan. 30
At approximately 1:23 p.m., a 48-year-old Houlton man reported vandalism to a motor vehicle owned by a Littleton man, while parked at Travelers Big Stop Diner. The case is under investigation by Det. Carolyn Crandall.
At approximately 4:47 p.m., Maine State Police requested assistance finding a vehicle from New Brunswick, Canada that was reportedly all over the road on I-95. Det. Crandall observed this vehicle heading toward the off ramp. The vehicle was apprehended by MSP on Route 2A.
At approximately 5:56 p.m., Penobscot (911) reported that a male caller at 20 Hogan St. was abusing the 911 system. Officers responded and spoke with the 62-year-old male resident. Investigating officers Det. C. Crandall and Ptl E. Pelletier cleared from the residence leaving the resident with a warning.
At approximately 9:22 p.m., a 29-year-old Houlton man reported hearing a horn continually blowing at Hogan Tire on Route 2A. The responding officer found a vacant vehicle with the horn going off. The officer disabled the horn, prior to the employees of Hogan Tire arriving. Sgt. Crouse cleared without incident.
