Wednesday, March 3
    Celebrity Dinner to be held at Birch Point Trails End Restaurant. Must have tickets in advance. Contact Heidi at 538-5995. Proceeds to benefit Northern Katahdin Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce.
    Down Home Country Music at Big Valley Sno Club. Admission charge at door.
Thursday, March 4
    Grave’s Karate Class from 6:30-8 p.m. This special evening will be open to public free of charge to come see what karate class is all about.
Friday, March 5
    Spaghetti Supper at Big Valley Sno Club, Island Falls, Rt. 2, from 5-7 p.m. Adults $7, children under 12 $5 each. For more info call Gil Sirois at 463-2656.
Saturday, March 6
Log Drivers Cookout at Big Valley Sno Club, Island Falls, Rt. 2, from 12-2 p.m. Bean hole beans, donuts, hotdogs, drinks, salads, etc. Adults $7 each, children under 12 $5 each. Also a 50/50 raffle will be going on.
Foul Shooting Contest at Island Falls Municipal Building gymnasium at 3 p.m. All ages welcome! Starting with ages 5 and under girls and boys and going up to ages 18. For more info call Ruth at 463-2263.

Breakfast fund-raiser for local playground at from 7-10 a.m.
This ‘n’ That Booths at Island Falls Municipal Building gym. Rent a space in the gym, set up your business or personal items starting at 9 a.m. Open for public 12 -4 Rent space for $10, tables for $5. Call Ruth at 463-2263 before March 5 to register.
Monday, March 8
Pet Show in loving memory of Jarrica Rose Emery at Island Falls Municipal Building gym at 6:30 p.m. Child category (under 18 years of age) and adult (18 and up). Come show what your pet can do! Ribbons and trophies for best dressed, best obedience and best show overall.
Tuesday, March 9
Town Meeting at Island Falls Municipal Building gymnasium at 6 p.m. We encourage the community to attend.
Wednesday, March 10
Variety Show at Island Falls Municipal Building gymnasium at 6:30 p.m. See the local talents of many! Please call to register, the week prior we plan to hold a rehearsal. Trish King will be emcee and sound technician. $2 each or $5 for family. Register by calling Ruth at 463-2263 or Trish at 463-2129.

Ms. Pageant at Island Falls Municipal Building gymnasium at 6:30 p.m. Where the she is a he! This event is just for fun and part of the proceeds will go toward 2010 SACS Senior Trip. Call to register Ruth at 463-2263. $2 per person or $5 per family.
Friday Mach 12
Kid’s Dance at Island Falls Municipal Building gymnasium for youth up to fifth grade — $2 each — from 6:30-7:30 p.m.; and 6th grade and up — $4 each — from 8-11 p.m. All kids must follow the rule “once in you stay in … if you leave, you don’t get back in.”
Saturday March 13
Pageant at Island Falls Municipal Building gym at 3 p.m. Still looking for contestants of all ages from birth to age 5 boy or girl. Also girl contestants ages 6 through 18. Contestants will need to get sponsors for entry fees and will be awarded trophies. If we do not have enough contestants to do pageant, this event will be canceled. Photo Contest
    Please no professional entries, amateurs only. Drop your photo off at Island Falls Town Office during regular business hours by March 4 deadline date. Categories include: Winter Snow Sculptures or Snowmen (Made by yourself or immediate family); Winter Nature Scenes (Snowy fields, trees, nature scenes); and Winter Funny Faces (Snowy beards, cheeks or whatever).
    All photos must have name and phone number on backs. Participants can pick up photos at town office during week of March 15th, or call Ruth at 463-2263 to make arrangements. Prizes will be awarded in each category.
Snow sculpting contest
    Start your snow sculpture at home and call between March 1-14 when sculpture is done to be entered. Judging will be decided March 14th. Cash prizes will be awarded. Call Ruth to enter at 463-2263.
