PRESQUE ISLE – Paulyne A. Willette, 83, wife of the late Lenwood Willette, died April 5, 2010, at a Bangor health care facility. She was born February 22, 1927, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Ray and Doris (Lindsey) Walton.
Paulyne graduated from the University of Maine at Presque Isle, after she turned 55 years of age. She began volunteering at the Learning Center in Presque Isle and later taught Adult Education classes there for many years.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Finnemore of Veazie; four sons, Gene Gildert of Orrs Island, Michael Gildert of Ellsworth, Steven Gildert and his wife Nancy of Wade, and Dennis Willette of Unity; three step sons, Lenwood Willette of Florida, Peter Willette of Virginia, and Donald Willette of Presque Isle; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends called at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday. Funeral services were conducted 10:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Larry Palmer officiating. Interment was in the Fairmount Cemetery in Presque Isle.
