    The Future Farmers of America state convention was held on May 5-7. Easton had several members place at the event. Cody Tompkins took first place in job interview and ex temp. The Farm Business Management Team, consisting of Carl Mullen, Luke Budreau, Luke Fuller and Corey White, placed first. 

    Individual awards in farm business management went to Carl Mullen, third; Luke Budreau and Luke Fuller, tied for 2nd place; Corey White, first.
    White also placed sixth in the discussion meet. Chris Flewelling took fifth place in Ag Mechanics and Cody Tompkins and Chris Flewelling received the Washington Leadership Scholarship.
    The FFA members from Easton attending the state convention were Brooke Hammond, Stephanie Hammond, Marissa Parlin, Logan Sutherland, Corey White, Luke Fuller, Luke Budreau, Cody Tompkins, Taylor Brown, Chris Flewelling and Carl Mullen.

Easton FFA banquet

    The Easton FFA held a banquet on May 11. New officers were decided on and are Cody Tompkins, president; Marissa Parlin, vice president; Brooke Hammond, secretary/ treasurer; and Stephanie Hammond, reporter/sentinel.
    There was a supper before reports were presented by the treasurer, who reported on how much money was made at the fair, Big E and field days. It was also reported where the money was spent and how much is left. The guest speaker for the evening was Kim Hammond, who thanked the FFA members for the benefit supper that the group helped organize on her behalf.
    Kaitlin Monroe also spoke on the Big E. Matthew Theriault from the Fort Fairfield FFA chapter spoke on the FFA creed. Carl Mullen spoke about states. Awards were presented to the incoming members and the new officers. Kevin Marquis was presented with an award from the members for all his hard work. Kim Hammond and Debbie Tompkins were both chosen to be Star Moms for the FFA chapter. Sarah King was presented an award for all the help she gives the FFA members, including keeping their finances in order.
    The Easton FFA will have a booth at the Easton Field Days and will be selling baked potatoes. Please come and have one to support your local FFA chapter.

 
Easton ATV Park grand opening

    The Easton ATV Club is celebrating its grand opening at the new ATV Park July 3 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. The park is now located in River de Chute, one mile from the customs. The club invites the community to celebrate with them. Concessions will be available.
