To the editor:
On Saturday, May 22, the Island Falls Free Wheelers ATV Club held a garbage pick-up day on the trails we ride. We had a total of 18 members who came out to help clean up our trails.  We collected an impressive 1,500 pounds of garbage, not including any metal.
The turn out was fabulous and an amazing amount of garbage got cleaned up.  Thank you to each and every contributor.  Great job, team, getting our trails in better shape and open for business. Special thanks to Justin Sheen (Spook’s Light Trucking) and the Katahdin Valley Recycling Center for helping us with this effort.
