Locals named to dean’s list at Maine Maritime

    Curtis Libby of Cary Plantation and Kyle Martin of Amity were recently named to the Dean’s List at Maine Maritime Academy for outstanding academic achievement in the second semester of the 2009-2010 academic year. Students named to the Dean’s List earn a grade point average of 3.3 or above on a 4.0 scale.
    Libby, a graduate of Houlton High School, is majoring in Marine Systems Engineering Design, while Martin, a graduate of Hodgdon High School, is majoring in Marine Engineering Technology.
    Maine Maritime Academy, founded in 1941, enrolls more than 850 students from more than 35 states and several foreign countries.
