    BEAVER BASKETBALL CAMP was held in Washburn June 14-17, with 30 students participating. They included, front row from left, Parker Thompson, Makenzie Vaughn, Kamryn Irving, Mariah Davis, Tori Koch, Laina Mette, Emmy Churchill, Katianne McLaughlin, Mykayla Churchill, McCall Turner, Noah Caron and Maegan Fitzpatrick. Back, coach Mike Carlos, Mitch Worcester, Jarrett Olson, Connor Fitzpatrick, Kenny Irving, Cameron Bragg, Jenica Harris, Michael Ericson, Lucia Bragg, Derek Baker, Cameron Preston, Quintin Thompson, Nicole Olson, Carmen Bragg, Catelyn Coulombe, Kenzie Worcester, Brittany Corey, Brandon Cropley, Taylor Howe, Olivia Doody, Natalie Doody, Justin Howe and coach Larry Worcester.

 

    Thirty boys and girls participated in Beaver Basketball Camp, which was held at Washburn District Elementary School June 14-17. The camp was directed by Larry Worcester with assistance from the following coaching staff: Mike Carlos, Kim Worcester, Marcie Barbarula, Connor Fitzpatrick, Justin Howe, Maegan Fitzpatrick, Olivia Doody, Kyle McLaughlin and Owen James.
    The camp was designed to improve basketball skills by emphasizing the fundamentals of the game. The daily schedule consisted of drill stations, shooting and individual games, and five-on-five team scrimmages.
    The following awards were presented at the conclusion of the basketball clinic:
    Girl’s College Division: free throw champion, Mariah Davis; one-on-one champ: Brittany Corey; most desire: Mariah Davis; best defense:    Tori Koch; most improved: Jenica Harris; most valuable player: Kamryn Irving.
    Girl’s WNBA Division: free throw champion: Mackenzie Worcester; one-on-one champ: Mackenzie Worcester; most desire: Emmy Churchill; best defense: Natalie Doody; most improved: Nicole Olson; most valuable players: Carmen Bragg and Mackenzie Worcester.
    Boy’s NBA Division: free throw champion: Brandon Cropley; one-on-one champ: Jarrett Olson; most desire Award: Jarrett Olson; best defense: Derek Baker; most improved: Noah Caron; most valuable: Cameron Bragg.
