A small town with a big heart

To the editor:
    On Saturday, Aug. 21 Monticello held its annual “Fun Day.” For those who don’t know this is an event set up by volunteers and town council members where local families come together for games, food, and fun.
    While I was not able to attend, all four of my children did and are still talking about all the fun they had. I just wanted to say “thank you very much” to all the people involved in making this possible. Monticello may be a small town but it is full of people with large hearts. Your time and efforts to make days like this possible for families is much appreciated.
