TAMC registration changes location

PRESQUE ISLE — The Aroostook Medical Center (TAMC) is making changes to patient registration at A.R. Gould Memorial Hospital.
Beginning Monday, Oct. 4, registration for all outpatient hospital services, including lab, cardiology and imaging, will be done at the hospital’s Main Entrance. The Main Entrance is located near the front of the hospital and is covered by a green canopy. Registration will no longer be available at the Pinkham (rear) Entrance after Friday, Oct. 1.

The Main Entrance is already used for patient registration, but changes are being made to improve the area to accommodate additional traffic and make it more patient-friendly.
“We are adding a registration station at the Main Entrance to ensure that our patients’ visits are comfortable, convenien, and timely,” said Gail Wylder, central registration manager at TAMC. “Patients can expect to receive a high level of service from our Main Entrance registration staff.”
TAMC is also making it easier for patients to register for lab work when seeing specialty physicians located at the hospital. Patients who need blood work immediately after an appointment with a physician will be able to register for lab services right in the doctor’s office before going to the lab draw station. This will eliminate the need for patients to register in the hospital before getting lab work.
Physician offices offering this service include Aroostook Cancer Care, Aroostook General & Vascular Surgery Center, Aroostook Heart & Lung Center, OB/GYN Midwifery, Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, Outpatient Clinics and Sleep Medicine Services.
