Joanna, left, and Suzanna Ridenour of Caribou recently became Level I certified pet-care technicians. In order to become certified at this level the two sisters had demonstrated their knowledge of the basic principles of animal care, office procedures and customer relations as required by the Pet Care Service Association. The Ridenour sisters currently help out at their family business, Home Farm Kennels, located at 186 Old Washburn Road in Caribou, where they assist their mother, Kelly, with dog grooming while providing additional TLC and exercise for all of the domestic animals boarded at the facility. They also attend to various other tasks at the kennel. Home Farm Kennels recently began offering an in-home pet care program for pet owners who prefer to keep their pets at home while they may be away on vacation. For more information regarding the home-style boarding program call 498-8803 or e-mail www.homefarmkennels.com.
