 Breast Cancer Awareness Month observed

PRESQUE ISLE — The University of Maine at Presque Isle will observe the 25th annual Breast Cancer Awareness Month by holding a candlelight vigil at 5 p.m. on Oct. 6 outside of the Campus Center in honor of those affected by the disease. The public is invited to attend the silent vigil, and light a candle in honor of a friend or loved one. Candles lit during the event will burn through the night, in memory of those lost, until the candle wicks naturally burn out. All are invited to light a candle or simply come and support other University or community members. To learn more about Breast Cancer Awareness Month activities to be held at UMPI, call 768-9852.
