A SURPRISE — A local couple was driving in Hodgdon Mills on Saturday when they heard a noise that sounded like a gunshot or a blown tire. To their surprise, an arrow had lodged near the front of the passenger’s side window. After the state police were called, a trooper scouted the area for information on who may have been shooting a bow and arrow. Unfortunately, he came up empty on who may have shot the arrow. Guat Beckwith is thankful that she was not injured. But, she would like those shooting to make sure of their target and know what is behind it, along with letting others know since it is hunting season, to be cautious.
