Driving Dynamics November 6
The Maine Department of Highway Safety and Houlton/Hodgdon Adult Education announce a Maine Driving Dynamics course at the Houlton Higher Education Center on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010 from 8 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. This class is for licensed state of Maine drivers who need drivers’license points or who may be able to obtain an auto insurance discount.
    The course fee is $40. (65 and older, $10). Students should bring their Maine driver’s license and their Social Security number to the class. Students must pre-register, and a minimum of 12 pre-paid students is required for the class to run. Call Adult Education at 521-3100 ext.5 to pre-register.  You may stop by the office at 18 Military St. in Houlton to pre-pay for the class.
Intro to College Nov. 12
The Houlton Higher Education Center and Northern Maine Community College invite the community to Intro to College, Friday, Nov. 12, from 1 to 4 p.m. Citizens from the community may drop into the Higher Education Center at 18 Military St., Houlton, during this time to learn more about the higher education opportunities for students of all ages for the upcoming Spring and Fall semesters.   Representatives from the Presque Isle campus will be on hand to answer questions.
