CARIBOU — With Christmas preparations going smoothly, Santa has found time in his busy toy-making schedule to come to Caribou again for nourishment an fellowship during the annual Lunch with Santa event sponsored by the Caribou American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 15.

This year’s meet-and-greet with the Jolly Ol’ Elf takes place on Saturday, Dec. 4; Santa arrives at the Teague Park cafeteria at 10 a.m. to begin asking each child what they want for Christmas and to take photos with all the good boys and girls.

Lunch — hot dogs, chips, sweets and a drink — starts at 11 a.m. and costs $2 with proceeds going to help local charities.

Where there’s Santa, there’s a sleigh full of toys, and lunch participants will have an opportunity to win that sleigh; tickets will be sold three for $1 to enter into a raffle to see who the lucky recipient will be.

Lunch with Santa is a Caribou tradition because, as Santa says, “Caribou has the best ho-ho-hotdogs of the season.”
