Maine Public Service recently donated a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4X4 pickup to Catholic Charities Maine, in Caribou to help staff members in their efforts to assist County residents.
Dixie Shaw, program director at Catholic Charities Maine in Caribou and the Home Supplies store/food bank, stated, “ This is such a great gift to us. It not only allows us another vehicle to help with our work here at Catholic Charities but it shows the support of this business (Maine Public Service) of our efforts to help in our community and county. We will use this to move things around,” Shaw added, “to do small pick-ups when weather permits. We are so grateful to have this truck and our thanks go to Maine Public Service for their continued support of our program.”
This vehicle is the second pickup donated by Maine Public Service to Catholic Charities Maine, the first was donated in 2001.
