SACS holds geography bee

    Southern Aroostook Community Middle School hosted a Geography Bee on Jan. 13.
    Lauren Rockwell of Island Falls came in first and Parker Walker of Island Falls came in second place. Rockwell will take another written test to qualify for the Maine State Geography Bee.  
    Students in grades 6-8 took a written test to qualify to  compete in the final competition.
    The following students participated in the local Bee, grade 6, Chloe Raymond and Ian Sonderman; grade 7, Mariah Lane, Joshua Perrin, Henry Schiller and Kaitlin Small; and grade 8, Paul Bither, Lauren Rockwell, Paul Therrien and Parker Walker.
