Individuals sought to serve on Local Workforce Investment Board

The chief elected officials of Aroostook and Washington counties are seeking interested private business owners or chief appointed executives of companies to serve on the Local Workforce Investment Board (LWIB) for the two-county region. The LWIB provides policy guidance to its Executive Director on issues regarding workforce development and job training services as well as selects service providers to provide Workforce Investment Act (WIA) services at area Career Centers (Presque Isle, Calais and Machias) and satellite facilities.

Any person who is interested in serving as a member of the LWIB or any person who would like a job description or more information should contact Ryan D. Pelletier, Executive Director of the Local Workforce Investment Board at the Northern Maine Development Commission.
