The staff and residents at the Caribou Rehab and Nursing Center recently celebrated their annual King and Queen Valentine’s Day event. Chosen as the 2011 Valentine’s Day King and Queen were the real-life couple, Herbert and Ruby Sands, who were very surprised and excited by all of the festivities. The royal couple received special gifts in honor of being named to the Valentine’s Day titles. Residents, family and friends helped celebrate this special day with their loved ones. Other activities during the Feb. 14 event included refreshments and musical entertainment provided by Debbie Zoller, Bernard Rafford, Jeff Saucier, John Birmingham and Paul Smithkey. Connie Guerrette, a resident at CRNC, was the lucky winner of a special door prize, a Valentine blanket which had been made by the residents.
