When I went hunting with my dad, we took my dad’s 410 shot gun and his old Chevy pickup.
We went to Bancroft and turned into this old dirt road. We started in, when half way through the trail, daddy saw a partridge. I told daddy he could shoot it. The partridge was up a tree and daddy shot it.
We went further in the trail. When we got up about 300 feet up the trail, we saw another partridge. I got out and daddy loaded the gun and handed it to me. I shot it. The partridge fell in the ditch and I went down and got it. I brought it out and put it on the pick up.
We went to the corner store to show my mom. She said, “Did you shoot that?” I said, “yup”. Then we took it back to my house. We pulled the feathers and feet off them.
