University Day

The University of Maine at Presque Isle will showcase their academic research, scholarly work and community service on Wednesday, April 13, during University Day.

The theme of this year’s event is “A Decade of Learning: Showcasing 10 Years of University Day, 2001-2011.” In the evening, the University’s Distinguished Lecturer Series will feature Dr. Anthony D. Cortese, a Woodrow Wilson Visiting Fellow, at 7 p.m. in the Campus Center. A complete schedule of University Day activities can be found at www.umpi.edu/uday. For more on Cortese, call 768-9452.

Senior Class Auction and Dinner

 

The University of Maine at Presque Isle’s Senior Class of 2011 will host their annual dinner and auction on April 20 at 4:30 p.m. in the University’s Campus Center. The auction will begin after the dinner is completed at approximately 5:30 p.m. Items from last year’s auction included: scarves, peanut brittle, maple syrup, homemade pillow cases, a kitchen basket, pictures, a quilt, a swag, Pampered Chef baking stone, weekend at Portage Lakeside Cabins, a watch, just to name a few. All proceeds from this event will go towards the 2011 graduation activities and stoles.
