Spring choral concerts planned

    The Caribou Choral Society will present its 33rd annual Spring Concert on Saturday, May 7 at the Holy Rosary Church in Caribou and on Sunday, May 8 at St. Mary’s Church in Presque Isle.
    Under the direction of Dan Lander, the combination of 55 musically talented voices will present “As Long As We Have Music,” a program that promises an evening filled with familiar songs, featuring “The Gift to be Simple,” “Black is the Color,” “Danny Boy,” “As Time  Goes By,” “Ev’ry Time I Feel the Spirit,” the theme from the Broadway musical “New York, New York,” and Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.” Eleven other songs will complete the concert program.
    The May 7 concert in Caribou at the Holy Rosary Church will begin at 7 p.m. On Sunday, May 8, the performance at St. Mary’s Church in Presque Isle begins at 3 p.m.
    There is no admission cost,  but donations are accepted to help with the expense of sheet music used by the choral members.
