Charlotte “Lottie” Knapp

    HOULTON – Charlotte A. Knapp, 96, died April 27, 2011 at a local hospital. She was born Feb. 9, 1915 at Cary, the daughter of Harold and Rose (Collins) Getchell.
    Lottie was a life long member of the Cary Baptist Church where she thought of the church family as her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, she had a great love for fishing and was even anticipating fishing this spring at the age of 96.
    Lottie is survived by five sons, James Knapp, Jerry Knapp and Cindy, all of Houlton, Peter Knapp and Barbara of Cary, Jack Knapp and Billi-Ann, William Knapp and Renee all of Houlton; three daughters, Jane Liston-Luce of CT, Daisy Powciw of RI, Susan Willicki of RI; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Halson, her son Leslie “Sonny” Knapp and daughter Janet Sibalich.
    Friends called at the Dunn Funeral Home 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Funeral services were held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Saturday. Interment was in the North Amity Cemetery.
