The dedication ceremony for the Avenue of Flags at the Northern Maine Veterans’ Cemetery in Caribou was held Tuesday, June 14. The 30 flag poles are located either side of the entrance driveway. During the ceremony, the names of individuals or organizations that donated the individual flag poles was announced as well as for whom the flag was being raised. Each flag remained at half-mast until all 30 had been attached to the poles with the entire avenue of flags raised at the same time.
