Easton High announces honor parts
The principal of Easton Junior Senior High School, Georgette Ireland, has announced the honor parts for the graduation ceremonies of the Class of 2011. The graduation ceremony was held on Friday, June 10.
VALEDICTORIAN
Sydney Lauren Trask
is the daughter of Norman and Ellen Trask. Sydney has been on Student Council, has participated in girls’ varsity basketball, soccer and volleyball. As a member of National Honor Society, Sydney chose to run for state office and just completed a year as the state NHS president. Locally, she has served as the NHS secretary, French Club vice president, Varsity Club secretary and president, and also as a class president. Sydney has enjoyed being a cast member of the one-act and senior plays, Junior Exhibition speaker, and a member of the Eastonia staff. Sydney plans on attending the University of Maine and will study communication sciences and disorders. She will follow up her bachelor’s with a master’s in speech and language pathology.

Jacob Bacon
is the son of Randy and Paula Bacon. Jacob has been involved in varsity soccer and basketball all four years of high school. He has been a member of the senior play for the last three years and has competed in the one-act play for four years. Jacob was also a speaker at Junior Exhibition. He has been an active member of Student Council for the last two years and is currently the Student Council president. He has been class president, French Club treasurer, National Honor Society, Varsity Club and a member of the math team. Next year Jacob will attend UMPI as a political science major.
1st HONOR ESSAYIST
Zachary Clark
is the son of Robert and Cheryl Clark. Zach is a member of the Varsity Club, National Honor Society, French Club, band and math team. Zach has participated in varsity soccer all four years of high school and was the captain his senior year. Zach was also a member of the basketball team for the last four years. He has competed in one-act play since his sophomore year and was a cast member in the senior play this year. Zach was the NHS president this year and the Student Council vice president. Next year Zach will attend the University of Maine as a student in the mechanical engineering college.
2nd HONOR ESSAYIST
Samantha Fuller
is the daughter of David and Tammy Fuller. Samantha has been a member of the soccer team all four years. She played volleyball these last two years and participated in basketball her first two years. She enjoyed being the manager for the boys’ varsity team during her junior and senior years. She has been a member of the Varsity Club and was their secretary this year. Samantha has also had opportunities to serve on Student Council, as a class president, class treasurer and as the National Honor Society vice president. Sam was also active in French Club, one-act play, senior play, band, chorus, math team, Eastonia yearbook staff and Junior Exhibition. Samantha will study pre-med biology at the University of Maine at Presque Isle in the fall.
